CU 04. Comparison of intravesical resiniferatoxin and verapamil in the treatment of female overactive bladder

Objective: To compare intravesical resiniferatoxin(RTX) and verapamil in the treatment of female overactive bladder (OAB).

Methods: Totally 46 patients with OAB were randomly divided RTX group (n=23) and verapamil group (n=23). The efficacies and safety were compared between these two groups.

Results: Compared with the verapamil group, the RTX group showed significantly better efficacies and safety profiles.

Conclusions: RTX, when intravesically instilled, can alleviate female OAB symptoms more safely and effectively.
