Dr. Ram A. Pathak, MD is a Senior Associate Consultant and Assistant Professor at Mayo Clinic Florida. Dr. Pathak specializes in Urologic Oncology and has special interests in the diagnosis and management of prostate, kidney, bladder, and upper tract urothelial cancer.

He completed his Doctorate of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Pathak received his urologic surgery training at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida followed by an accredited Society of Endourology Fellowship in Minimally-invasive Surgical Oncology at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina under Dr. Ashok K. Hemal, MD.

 Dr. Pathak has authored more than 100 publications, book chapters and medical abstracts. He has given plenary talks at national and international meetings. He has been named Mayo Clinic Physician Educator of the Year and JBJ’s Health Care Hero. He has won several best poster and video segments at national and international meetings. He has secured intramural and extramural grants and remains active as a clinical trial investigator.

Ashok K. Hemal, MD

Dr. Hemal was a professor and vice chair of urology at the apex and premium All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India. He has been performing laparoscopic urologic surgery at AIIMS since 1992 and with a background in Laparoscopic urologic surgery, he advanced his career in robotic urologic surgery since 2001. He has been visiting professors in various top academic programs, invited to demonstrate live surgery in educational meetings and various national and international conferences in over 450 meetings all across the world for dissemination of knowledge and serving the community. He has edited 7 books and published over 500 scientific papers and book chapters in international peer-reviewed journals of high quality with his residents, fellows and colleagues. He has served the Endourological Society, as President of the Society of Urologic Robotic Surgery and as Board of Directors and currently serving as a member of the Award committee in addition to Associate Editor of Journal of Endourology. Recipient of many academic distinctions and awards to name a few prestigious Dr. B.C. Roy Award, UGC Hari Om Ashram award and “Padma-Shree” were all awarded by the president of India at a different timeline. He has also been honored with several other prestigious award such as the Urologist of the Decade award, Guest Scholar of the American College of Surgeons, SIU- scholar, Fulbright scholar, and Health Hero award given by Business Journal USA. He is being nominated as Best Doctor of America and Top Doctor of America and Top Prostate Cancer doctor since 2008.
