The association of BMI with risk of recurrence and progression in patients with non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer

Abstract

Bladder cancer is the tenth most commonly diagnosed cancer worldwide, with an estimated 549,000 new cases diagnosed in 2018 (1). Approximately 75% of patients present with non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC), which is confined to the mucosa (stage Ta, CIS) or submucosa (stage T1) (2).
