Abstract

Radical cystectomy (RC) is a complex and highly morbid procedure and it is associated with a variety of post-operative complications, especially in an early setting (1-5). One such complication includes urinary tract infections; one to two out of ten patients experiences a UTI following RC, with more than a third of cases occurring within the first three months of surgery (6,7).
